About the Company

Ai-ai stands for Artificial Intelligence for Any Industry. We believe that tools are only as useful as the real world value they provide to the user — and the universal currency is time. Thus, our sole purpose is to build workflows that save time, across as many lines of businesses that we are able to hybridize domain expertise and world-class technology.

AI is in our name (Twice!), but it’s not all we do. For the psychoeducational context, we use AI (including LLMs) where we think it makes sense e.g. summarization, categorization; we avoid it where it doesn’t make sense (classification, reasoning, inference) as we do not have rights to train the model natively on testing corpus and native off-the-shelf performance is far too volatile to be trusted with students’ futures. Whatever we don’t build with AI, we do the old-fashioned way — hard-coded!

Lightner team

The Lightner team consists of: 3 school psychologists, 3 developers, and 1 technologist — together, we learned how to customize any report writing workflow end-to-end, and are currently figuring out how to build and launch Lightner 2.0, which will allow users to customize any score report with their own language and integrate directly with world-class AI and non-AI tools for further productivity gains. We see a future where report writing will only be 15-20 minutes of the evaluation process, leaving the rest for refinement, program development, and time with the student.
